The Law of Attraction at Work

Last week I was in a little bit of a funk. I was feeling a little negative and unaligned, to be honest. It was towards the end of the week, lunchtime came around and I ordered a salad from my usual salad spot. It’s only like a 5-minute walk, so I put on my headphones and started listening to this podcast that I’ve been obsessed with about the Law of Attraction. Basically, when you are positive and vibrating at a high frequency, you’re going to attract more positivity into your life. When you’re negative and vibrating at a low frequency, you’re going to attract more negativity into your life. This may or may not be a little too woo-woo for you but bear with me.

Here I am, feeling negative and in a funk, going to get my salad, rushing back to work, and I trip and fall HARD…in the middle of downtown Boston…feeling negative….as I’m listening all about the Law of Attraction!

I actually thought to myself “OMG I attracted this” so I took it as a sign that this was the Universe was trying to shake me out of my negative moment.

I wanted to dedicate this post to giving you a few tools to help get you out of your own funk next time you’re there, so that you don’t actually have to embarrass yourself to snap out of it.

Here are a few of my favorite positivity tools:

  1. Make a list of what you’re grateful for right now- I KNOW that you can find at least a few- no matter how awful your day feels.

  2. Make a list of your accomplishments and bad-assery- This is especially helpful if you’re feeling unempowered or discouraged.

  3. Diffuse or apply some essential oils -Pick your faves. My personal positivity favorites are Motivate, Peace, Wild Orange, and Balance- all from doTERRA

  4. Meditate-Headspace has some great 1-3 minute mediations for when you’re having an SOS moment. They also have tons of longer meditations to choose from. Browse the list and pick what feels best.

  5. Get some fresh air- watch your step!

  6. Take an intentional deep breath- like the ones that go all the way down, deep into your belly and filling your lungs.

  7. Get a great workout in- During times like these, sweating it all out seems to work wonders.

These are just some of the tools I use in my own life and with my clients. Remember, how you do one thing is how you do everything. If one area of your life needs special attention, chances are it’s showing up in your health too.
